Soon after the band’s 1993 debut album “Fuzzy” was on the shelves they headed for Europe, it was there that the band had it’s first taste of commercial and critical success.
At home a strong fan base was forming seeded by some of popular music’s greatest names, and soon these band’s offered Grant Lee Buffalo opening slots on major tours.
Grant Lee Buffalo went on the road with REM, Pearl Jam and The Smashing Pumpkins to name just a few.

Lee Grant (October 31, 1927 in New York, New York) is an American theater, film and television actress, and film director who was fllisted by the Hollywood movie studio bosses in the 1950s.
Born Lyova Haskell Rosenthal to Eastern European Jewish immigrants, Grant performed as a ballerina with the New York Metropolitan Opera at the age of four, and during her childhood studied dance and acting.
Grant was vocal in assigning blame for the failure of the series, which was about the travails of a mature, sexually active woman, which may have turned off some viewers.

Grant was born Hiram Ulysses Grant in Point Pleasant, Clermont County, Ohio, 25 miles (40 km) east of Cincinnati on the Ohio River, to Jesse Root Grant (1794–1873) and Hannah Simpson (1798–1883).
Grant was initially angry at Thomas that his orders for a demonstration were exceeded, but the assaulting wave sent the Confederates into a head-long retreat, opening the way for the Union to invade Atlanta, Georgia, and the heart of the Confederacy.
Grant was the first general to attempt such a coordinated strategy in the war and the first to understand the concepts of total war, in which the destruction of an enemy's economic infrastructure that supplied its armies was as important as tactical victories on the battlefield.

Hiram Ulysses Grant was born in 1822 in Ohio.

Lee was stuck in the piedmont of central Virginia, defending the Confederate capital with slowly dwindling manpower and supplies, in an increasingly frustrating and hopeless situation.
Grant was determined to break through the seven-mile-long defensive perimeter Lee had established, with the objective of splitting Lee’s army in half, opening the way to Richmond in the process of destroying the Army of Virginia once and for all.
Lee sent back a stiffly worded reply agreeing to the removal of the dead and wounded on the condition that “a flag of truce be sent as is customary.” While both Union and Confederate wounded lay crying and whimpering in the sun, alongside rotting corpses, Grant and Lee exchanged notes three more times.

In 1964, Lee's name was taken off the fllist and she resumed her career, winning several awards, including the Obie, the Emmy, and the Oscar.

Lee was 14 years older than Grant, Lee was already a Colonel when the war started and still serving on active duty, whereas Grant had left the army as a captain after the Mexican War.

I am sure there are tons of Lee fans that never really took to Wildcats because of the writing (I know that was the case for me--especially during the initial series--or the art in the subsequent projects), and I am sure there are Morrison fans who wouldn't be caught dead with a Wildcats title.
Lee has the right to do whatever he wants to with his creation, even if he wasn't on the run when it was at it's best (whether you think that's Moore and Charest, or Casey and Dustin Nguyen).

Ladies Love Oracle was originally Grant's first solo debut previously only available at his live shows and through a handful of internet retailers.
Grant Lee Phillips wrote two good songs in his career, and they are "Fuzzy" and "Mockingbirds," in his other group Grant Lee Buffalo, and the tunefulness is sorely lacking here.
