		Leechburg is a borough located in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, 35 miles (56 km) northeast of Pittsburgh.
		Leechburg was founded by David Leech, for whom it is named, and was incorporated as a Borough in 1850.
		Leechburg was very prosperous in the past during the building of the old Pennsylvania canal, and was the headquarters of the promoters and builders of that famous connecting waterway between the Atlantic ocean and the waters of the Mississippi valley.
