Leeds City station is the mainline railway station serving the city of Leeds in West Yorkshire, England.
The station is situated on a hill falling from the south of the city down to the Leeds canal basin; much of it is supported on brick vaulted arches, the space provided by which is used for car parking and some business premises.

The regeneration of Leeds city station has been awarded the top prize in the Institution of Civil Engineers Yorkshire 2003 awards for excellence in civil engineering construction.
The £260 million project included the remodelling of the station approach to provide improved track layout and a new signalling system, as well as four new platforms and the refurbishment of 13 platforms.
Commenting on the award, Steve said: “The object of the award is to give public recognition to outstanding examples of civil engineering in the Yorkshire region.” A commemorative plaque is displayed at the station.
