 Sun.Star Iloilo - Leganes, Jaro entries top Paraw Regatta 2004
SAILBOATS "Justine" of Danilo Diomon of Leganes, Iloilo and "Arlyn" of Orlando Demetillo of Barangay Bito-on, Jaro, Iloilo City bagged the top plum in the Category B and A, respectively, of the Iloilo Paraw Regatta 2004 Sunday.
The sailboats, known as "paraw" in local dialect, assembled at Tatoy's Manokan, Villa Beach, Iloilo City and raced in the strait between the province of Guimaras and Iloilo City.
Second place in Category B is "Dindin and Kent" of Ulysses Torino of Leganes, Iloilo.

 Leganesnons sidelined Guimarasnons in Paraw Regatta 2007
After several years of holding the title, boatmen from the island-province of Guimaras were stripped of the title in the Paraw Regatta sailboat race by contestants from Leganes, Iloilo.
Thirty paraw competitors joined in the category A and 15 in the category B. Both categories were then ruled by boatmen from the island-province of Guimaras.
For the category B, Ulysses Torino of Camangay, Leganes was declared as 1st placer.
