Legend Films, a San Diego-based company, was founded in August 2001.
Legend also produces the DVD, designs the packaging and menus, and creates all value-added materials, including interviews and commentary from the original cast and crew when possible.
Legend Films has also released a colorized Three Stooges DVD which includes wraparound introductions by Mike and fellow Mystery Science Theater 3000 cast members Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy, as The Film Crew.

Legend Films (www.legendfilms.net) is "a studio specializing in restoring and colorizing classic films," touting a "proprietary new technology" that "allows us to color films in high definition at a never-before-seen vibrancy." Their edition of House on Haunted Hill makes the fifth DVD release, at least, for this public-domain favorite.
The previous Warner edition delivered the film in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, and this edition removes the "fl bars" for an open-matte full-screen image (not pan-and-scan).
He gives the film a snarky but often quite funny MST3K-style spitballing, so his followers who miss his days with Tom Servo should be as pleased as the film's completist fans.

For me, one of the beauties of the film is the stark contrast between familiar emotions and unfamiliar situations.
Also, the film doesn't show any extreme circumstances a visit to Japan might offer in an attempt to blind you with how different things are, and how emotionally difficult a lengthy stay there might be.
Dialogue was awesome, and even with the subdued amount of violence (in comparison to KB Volume 1 and his other films) he pulled it off.
