Legend (movie)   (Site not responding. Last check: )
Legend is a 1985 fantasy film released by 20th Century Fox (in Europe) and Universal Pictures (in the U.S. and Canada), directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, Tim Curry, and Billy Barty.
Midway through the filming, Pinewood Studios (where the film was shot, and had been used for many James Bond films) burned completely to the ground, forcing the producers to finish the movie on hastily completed sets.
Among the complaints from test audiences was about Jerry Goldsmith's beautiful orchestral score (considered by some music critics to be Goldsmith's greatest film work), and how teenage audiences would accept the film.

 Legend (1985)
Legend didn’t even live up to the fairly mediocre level of 1988’s Willow, a similar flick.
The movie utilized a glowing tone that made sense within the fantasy framework, and the various hues came across as rich and vibrant.
Nonetheless, fans of Legend should be absolutely delighted that the flick finally got such an excellent DVD release, and those who think it might be their cup of tea are firmly encouraged to give it a look.

 Urban Legend Movie Review
These students are then exposed to more debunked legends in their American Folklore class when Professor Wexler (Robert Englund of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchise) exposes the truth behind several urban legends.
However, these urban legends soon become reality when a killing spree is unleashed on the unsuspecting students of Pendleton U, and students are dispatched in gruesome reenactments of famous urban legends.
And what is probably the kiss of death for "Urban Legend" is that it quickly degenerates into the epitome of what "Scream" poked fun at-- the cheesy slasher movie populated by stock characters and held together by a flimsy plot that defies logic.

Thailand's ''The Legend of Suriyothai'' may be the ultimate litmus test: Based on historical events of the 16th century and directed by a prince of the Thai royal family, the movie is both stunning on the level of visual pageantry and curiously inert as cinema.
Nearly lost among the palanquins and palaces is the woman for whom the movie is named.

The result is pretty much on par with the threesome's 1998 hit "The Mask of Zorro," though the new movie does forfeit some of the original's charm with the absence of Anthony Hopkins as the aging Zorro, who passed the mantle on to Banderas in that movie.
The latter is somewhat less smoldering and more wholesome this time, given the new movie has a family friendlier PG rating, instead of the original's PG-13 designation, and the fact that Zorro and his woman now are an old married couple with a 10-year-old son.
It took seven years for the filmmakers to capitalize on the success of the first movie, but "Legend of Zorro" generally was worth the wait.
