The Legend of Zelda series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Legend of Zelda was principally inspired by Miyamoto's explorations as a young boy in the hillsides surrounding his childhood home in Kyoto[1], where he ventured into forests with secluded lakes, caves, and rural villages.
The main reason Miyamoto chose the title "Legend of Zelda", as well as the name of the Princess included in the title (even when she is not the main protagonist), was as a tribute to F.
The Legend of Zelda was made into a cartoon series as a "show within a show" in the live action Super Mario Bros. Super Show TV series produced by DiC and was another franchise attempt by 80's cartoon mogul Andy Heyward (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Ghostbusters).

Zelda is the first cel-shaded game to fully feature every object without borders, with edges defined only by their tonal values.
Unfortunately, for as much as the graphics add to Zelda's atmosphere, they are not perfect everywhere, though the few minor issues have nothing to do with the style.
When looked at as a whole, the positives of the graphics and animation compared with its few negatives is like comparing the mass of the sun with the earth.

I created the animated gifs using MS Paint and "Animagic Gif." My favorite Legend of Zelda animated gif was actually inspired by the animation shown before playing Dragon Warrior III of Erdrick's father battling a dragon.
I drew the hero of The Legend of Zelda, Link, fighting a small green dragon with the fire breath drawn similar to the Dragon Warrior III battle.
My Legend of Zelda animated gifs are violent, but a few (including two dragon battles and an octorock battle) are comical in appearence to disguise the theme's violent nature.

As an added bonus, being animated allows for a lot greater range of facial expressions, which is a pretty big deal when you don't know what the text on the screen means.
Later on, you're even going to run into Zelda's equivalent of a jumping puzzle, where you will have to float on a giant leaf from ledge to ledge, and you'll once again need to point the wind in the direction you wish to travel.
One of the most hilarious elements of the game is the wide variety of bizarre creatures and objects (both animate and otherwise) that will verbally assail you along the way..

Much of the dungeons, temples, and caverns use the tried and true Zelda formula, defeat the enemies, make the chest appear, get the key, open the locked door, solve the puzzle, to get to another area, and repeat until you get to the end and fight the main boss character.
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker appears to be beyond many gamer's expectations and although more cartoonlike in appearance has far greater depth in terms of gameplay and an overall experience.

Legend of Zelda, The @ Toonarific Cartoons
Taking place during the first Legend of Zelda game, the series follows the adventures of Link as he bravely defends the kingdom of Hyrule from an evil wizard Ganon and his dim-witted minions.
A common running gag of the series was Link's repeated failures to convince the somewhat obstinate Zelda he deserved a kiss for heroic deeds (something his fairy sidekick was quite willing to do, oblivious to him).
This may have influenced the later misconception among gamers that Link and Zelda are a romantic item, something never directly implied in any of the video games.
