 | | J.O. is a son of Nehemiah IDE, who was born in Stockbridge, Mass., and came to this county about 1800, locating in Lehman township, where he took up a farm of 800 acres which yielded rich harvests to the labors of his six sturdy sons, who were yeomen not to be found in every township. |
 | | About 1800 he moved to Lehman township, this county, with his family of six sons, and sturdy boys they were too, making good citizens and honest farmers who helped to make the township of Lehman what it is. He died in 1822 at the age of sixty-one. |
