Otto Hahn is one of only four nuclear-powered cargo vessels ever built.
Planning of a German-built trade and research vessel to test the feasibility of nuclear power in civil service began in 1960, and Otto Hahn's keel was laid down in 1963 by Howaldtswerke Deutsche Werft AG of Kiel.
She was launched in 1964 sponsored by Dr. Otto Hahn, a German chemist who had helped describe the generation of energy via nuclear fission, and then spent the rest of his life advocating peaceful uses for this power.

Moritz Ritter von Lehmann was born at Zloczów (Galicia) on the 15th of June 1836.
Rittmeister Moritz Ritter von Lehmann, who was at this moment in the railway station of Oswiecim, realised that this would not only be dangerous for the city but he also noticed rightly that the Prussian ulan regiment would cut off a large number of Austrian troop from their lines of withdrawal.
Rittmeister Ritter von Lehmann found the commander of the Prussian regiment, Major von Busse, riding straight towards him, stopped, saluted and introduced himself by telling his name and rank and with one hard hit of his sabre felled him immediately with a wound to his shoulder.

The Trusts: Men = Cannon Fodder = Big Profits
The "phenomenon Otto Gross" is many-layered – and nevertheless clear: it symbolizes the search for a "better society," for the dissolution of gender-relations, which proved to be oppressive, [the search] for Utopias in a time that lacked sound concepts and meaningfulness.
It seems that the achievements of Otto Gross and the Frankfurt School resulted in nothing other than the promotion of anarchism and nihilism; if not that, then at least in the abolition of order; thereby the promotion of social chaos.
Otto Gross' sacrifice was his own life, it seems, but why does all of society have to pay the enormous costs of a social experiment that is doomed to failure and, if carried to its conclusion, would spell the end of civilization?

Lehmann has the Berlin Philharmonic for the remainder of the program, and the string playing is typically decent, but the conducting isn't.
Lehmann cuts the Dance of the Miller's Wife in half, omitting the section called "The Grapes", and jumps instead to the Corregidor's Dance in the second half of the ballet (linking the two with an unnecessary double-dose of humorless solo bassoon).
It goes without saying that the final dance is stiff, the brass blat vulgarly, and of course the bass drum, tam-tam, and timpani are hardly in evidence, save when Lehmann adds timpani to the final snare drum roll, just to make sure he has left his mark on the piece.

In his experiments, the solid turned into a cloudy liquid at 145°C, yet at 179°C the cloudy liquid became clear.
Shortly afterward Otto Lehmann, a German physicist, determined that the cloudy phase was an intermediate state of matter distinct from the solid crystalline and liquid phases.
Because this phase had flow properties like a liquid and optical properties like a solid, Lehman suggested the name liquid crystal.
