  CD Baby: LEITMOTIF: Sorority
LeitmOtif is an unusual-sounding artist fronted and, actually, entirely comprised of one man: Alex JT, who has played guitar for numerous other independent/local bands from lounge jazz/rock to classic prog-metal, though his influences are a broad scope beyond either of those.
Listening to LeitmOtif's second album, 'Misanthrope', along side this one, the conceptual/progressive roots and variety of genres of 'Misanthrope' can be heard in a selection of the "less-pop" songs on this one.
AJT's method of ending an album mysteriously in a way that engrosses lives as much in 'Sororicide phase III: Take the Pills' and 'White Light' as it does in the second album's final tracks, 'A Night in Her Bed', 'The Morning After' and 'The Secret Pleasure of Mauve-Coloured Hair'.

Every member contributes a totally unique voice to the sound, and what they've created on this album at least is something equal parts heavy metal and post rock, something just as conceptual as it is incidental.
Leitmotif bears a closer resemblance to Dredg's heavy metal roots than it's big brother El Cielo.
There is a lot more heavy edge on this album, which is probably why it appealed to me when I found it in early high school.

  GEPR Webzine Issue #2
They called themselves Acharit Ha'Yamim (Apocalypse), although not a prog band they were rather important and influential and their sole album (now considered a milestone of Israeli Rock) comprised psychedelic hard rock with strong Blues and soul influences and some progressive overtones, this album also failed commercially and the band broke-up.
The album had a very desperate atmosphere and it is an essential album for everyone who wants to hear the development of Israeli prog.
This is a great and essential album equally influenced by the Symphonic rock of Gentle Giant and Yes and by the stoned Jazz-rock of the Canterbury scene, in spite of all of these influences they managed to maintain their own identity and are highly important band.

The Donovan Scrapbook - The Goldmine Article
It was an album Donovan had had in mind at least since the evening captured on the McCartney bootleg from the summer of 1968.
The album was Donovan's final major label effort in the U.S. and U.K. Three years later, in August 1980, he released Neutronica on Mickie Most's Rak label in Europe only and undertook a European tour that began at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland and continued into France and Germany.
Now, with that album out, he can concentrate on his autobiography, on a musical by his wife (Lives Of The Wives) that is still in the planning stages, and, when cataloguing the past is out of the way and the world has been duly reminded of his past accomplishments, something for the present.
