The Leizhou Bandao volcanic field is a group of 25 cones, including 9 Holocene basaltic volcanoes, on the Leizhou (Liuchow) Peninsula in SE China, north of Hainan Dao Island.
Leizhou Bandao is the northern part of the Qionglei volcano group, a 7300 sq km basaltic-to-basanitic plateau that covers the southern Liuchow Peninsula and extends across a broad area of northern Hainan Dao.
Volcanic rocks of the Leizhou Peninsula are of Pliocene-to-Holocene age, and there are unconfirmed reports of historical activity.
