Leka is named in honour of Egyptian president Anwar al-Sadat, his grandfather King Zog of Albania, the Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi of Iran, and King Baudouin of Belgium.
As the eldest male descendant of King Zog, Leka is also a hereditary bey (Albanian tribal chieftain and traditional land owner) of the Gheg clan.
