Leksand is a Municipalityin central Sweden, in the Dalarna province, administratively in Dalarna County.
Its seat is in Leksand with 5,700 inhabitants, situated at 60°44′ N 15°00′ E.
The culture is marked by being in the heart of the culture rich Dalarna.

Leksand's Idrottsförening was founded in 1919, at a time when the foundation of sport clubs increased in the region of Dalarna, where Leksand is situated.
Results from recent years: In 1989 Leksand was runner-up in the play-off finals and both in 1994 and 1997 the club won the Elite League of Sweden.
Leksand is also one of the most popular club while playing away in the league and also when ice-hockey is broadcast in Swedish TV.

Then came the disastrous 6th inning for the Bats, an inning were Leksand sent 17 batters to the plate, 12 of them scored.
The Bats used 3 different pitchers in the inning, but all that happened was either walks or bloop hits from Leksand.
Leksand scored 4 more and won 24-15 in a game were probably around 80 percent of the first pitches were balls from Karlskoga, which resulted in walks and many hits from Leksand.

In the Juvenile tournament, Leksand beat Westerås in the finals, 9-8, and in the Tee-ball category three teams competed; Skövde, Arnö, and Stockholm, with Arnö picking up first place.
Leksand will be considered the favourites after finishing the regular season in first place, with a 20-4 record.
Leksand finished off fourth-place Tranås with scores of 13-0, 7-1, and 10-0.

IK Brage is from the same county as Leksand, but 45 km south of Leksand.
Now some of me: I´m born at the hospital of Falun 1979, and did go in Leksand gymnasium (like high-school)between 1995-98 and I graduated may -98 and the same week we had the prom and it was really special evening.
I did play soccer for Leksand IF/FK, in the junior-team (age 17-19), there I were mostly a striker or a midfielder when I did get time to play, I was a miss understood genius.
