Dax has been a mother three times and a father twice as well; its hosts have had 9 children total (5 as the mother, 4 as the father).
In Jadzia Dax's zhian'tara ritual, Curzon was embodied by Odo, and decided to stay in that body, but was convinced to return to the symbiont, after finally admitting that he had washed Jadzia out because he was in love with her ("Facets").
Peers identified Dax to Ilon Tandro (but later testified that he didn't know her personally), and was an expert witness at the extradition hearing for Jadzia Dax.

Mar 20 2003, 09:39 AM yeah, but the Dax character in ST:VI wasn't the guy who did it, they just found the boots in his locker, he was only in the movie for a few seconds, and he couldn't have done it because he had those weird feet.
May 13 2003, 11:11 PM i liked dax, would be cool to see dax on an episode as a first contact, it thats not against the timeline.
Dax in his language could mean something different in Trill but just be pronounced and spelt the same in English.

A few weeks have passed after the end of the Dominion War and the latest host the Dax symbiont, Ezri, is still trying to find her feet on the station and come to terms with dealing with the memories of the previous hosts.
It builds upon the few lines mentioned in the Season 7 episode, "Shadows and Symbols", where she says that she was the only Trill on board the USS Destiny (the ship that was transporting the symbiont back to its homeworld) when the symbiont took a turn for the worse and needed a new host.
Curzon Dax's story is quite unusual in the sense that it's told through the point of view of a certain Ensign Benjamin Sisko and tells us of an diplomatic incident aboard the Pelios station.

The first one (not counting the beginning of the framing story) is about Lela Dax, a new member of the Trill council and one of the advocates for opening Trill up for trade with other galactic races.
Lela decides that she has to help, despite what the council says.
Seeing Dax's meeting with McCoy should have been wonderful, but instead it was "ok." The writing was a bit stiff and it didn't really fit into the conceit of Ezri telling a story to Vic.

I'm only three-fourths of the way through this excellent anthology, but I wanted to include it so people could get it before Christmas; I feel safe in recommending it without hesitation, though as with all anthologies, some of the entries are stronger than others.
In the next installment, Kris Rusch's "First Steps," we find Lela Dax fighting with Darzen Odan, presumably a previous host of the Odan with whom Beverly Crusher fell in love in TNG's "The Host." It takes intervention from T'Pau of Vulcan to resolve Lela's internal struggle.
We see Saavik and Chapel at the scene of the transwarp disaster that ended the marriage of Torias Dax and Nilani Kahn, which would inspire subsequent hosts Jadzia and Lenara to contemplate the crime of rejoining.
