I can speak a little French, but not fluently, and I also know a little bit of German, Esperanto, and Latin (but not anywhere near as much as French).
I think I first came across this place through Quizbowl, and my first contribution was the Alexius IV article in January, 2003, although I didn't have a user name at that point.
