The manufacturing city of Blue Rapids, the second in size in Marshall County, is located two and one-half miles below the junction of Big and Little Blue Rivers, and ninety-five miles west of Atchison on the Central Branch Missouri Pacific Railroad.
In the fall of 1869, a preliminary meeting of those interested in Kansas was held at LeRoy, Genesee Co., N. At a later meeting held in Batavia, N. a colony was organized with the following officers: Rev. C.
ROBERT ROBERTSON, farmer, P. Blue Rapids, was born in 1826, in the State of New York, and emigrated to Marshall County, Kansas, in 1869, locating two miles north of Blue Rapids, and is the owner of over 200 acres of choice land.

LEROY W. LIBBY, County Commissioner, was born in Cumberland County, Me., January 25, 1847; was educated at Kent's Hill Seminary, Maine, and in September, 1869, came to Marysville, and was Principal of the Marysville schools for a year.
Was Deputy United States Marshal for the southern sub-district of Marshall County, and took the census for that year of the district.

Since she was already operating in this area ALFRED ROBB was one of Fitch's gunboats-and, but for occasional brief assignments on the Mississippi, she served on the upper rivers through the end of the Civil War.
Sold at public auction there on 17 August 1865 to H. Smith, the ship was redocumented as ROBB on 9 September 1865 and served on the Mississippi River system until 1873.

There are some genuine laughs that will tickle your fancy, and Danny Devito certainly does a goos job in trying to bring the story a sense of lightheartedness, but this is one of those bad movies that happens to good actors, and he is unable to keep it from flopping.
It's a slight surprise to see that the director of this film is Penny Marshall, whose past films such as "A League of Their Own" and "Big" each contained a healthy balance of drama and comedy.
Here, she seems to want to give it to us in increments, not wanting us to forget that this is not just a comedy, but a drama as well, and vice versa.
