It is located on the south bank of the Saint Lawrence River halfway between Rimouski and Rivière-du-Loup.
The seat is in Trois-Pistoles and it is in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.

 Technological Intensity of Manufacturing Firms in Québec: A Regional Analysis
In order to obtain a numerator, we compared the overall number of firms located in the region in question with the total number of firms at the same technological level in all of Québec.
When the quotient is equal to 1, this means that the region is average by Québec standards in terms of technological intensity.
The total number of firms was 329 in Montréal and 43 in Laval, which in both cases was equivalent to 5.3% of the total number of manufacturing firms in each of these two areas.

The Centre résidentiel et communautaire Jacques-Cartier intends to allow the residents of the Saint-Roch, Saint-Sauveur and Vieux-Limoilou neighbourhoods, situated in the city centre of Quebec, to contribute to the reduction of their greenhouse gas emissions by means of an initiative aimed at reducing the volume of putrescible waste usually destined for incineration.

The purpose of the project is to increase the volume of materials recycled annually at the residences on the campus of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières to 25,000 kilograms.

The creation of the La Mitis Regional County Municipality in 1982 brought together municipalities from three neighbouring county municipalities to form a new community, and incorporated a vast wooded area in the highland, including – naturally – the Seigneurie du Lac Mitis (Lac Mitis Seigniory).
Its regional airport serves all of the surrounding RCMs.
Each summer, 4,000 people come back to these municipalities to be serenaded by the sound of the waves of the majestic river that is sometimes called “the sea”.

The project announced today will provide 10 young high school, Cégep and university graduates under 30 years of age with the opportunity to attend self-awareness and school-work transition workshops, followed by an internship with a local employer.

The Matane Regional County Municipality is the eastern gateway to the Lower St. Lawrence region.
It is easier to understand the importance of Matane’s port facilities once you know that a large volume of raw materials and products from the North Shore are transported by boat to Matane, the RCM’s county seat, and then continue on their journey by road or by rail.
A pulp mill, paperboard mill and the largest food processing company of the region are also located in this RCM.
