For the census of 7th June 1841 the Robb family were living in Carluke parish at Easterseat farm, The Jean Donald recorded in the household aged 25, would seem likely to be Jean, the younger sister of Mary Donald, baptised 15 May 1814 in Lesmahagow, although as relationships are not recorded, one cannot be certain.
I would assume the Jane Donald recorded in the household aged 49, was Jean, the younger sister of Mary Donald, baptised 15 May 1814 in Lesmahagow.

Once again thanks to social organiser Davy Affleck and his team and to the Black Bull for facilities and food, with praise being loudly proclaimed by all participants, particularly Kenneth – at regular intervals!
This year the Choir organised a competition with Lesmahagow High School for the design of a poster to advertise our Annual Concert, [3rd and 4th March!] Third year art students competed and the Choir had a difficult job selecting a short list of 6 from over 40 entries.
Eventually a winner was chosen, John Aird, and his design will soon be seen in Lesmahagow and surrounding villages.
