Clarence Lester "Les" Hogan (born 19xx) is a pioneer in microwave and semiconductor technology.
From 1953 through 1958 he was a professor at Harvard University, when he was asked by Dan Noble to join Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona as general manager of the semiconductor operation.
In 1968 he changed to Fairchild Camera and Instrument as manager of integrated circuit and microprocessor development, taking eight senior executives (nicknamed Hogan's Heroes) with him.

When Silas first moved there it was far more 'country' that it is today and, for himself, Lazy Lester, Robert Pete Williams, Henry Gray, Guitar Kelley and many others, it was a convenient half way house between the city life of Baton Rouge and the laid back country lifestyle they were used to.
In the 60s, he formed a small group along with Silas Hogan and at last in 1970, he appeared on a couple of albums of Louisiana blues artists, as well as a single on Excello.
He continued his partnership with Hogan for many years, and joined that artist in his residency at Tabby Thomas's Blues Box club, but he has also toured widely, including visits to Europe.

The committee developed the two ballots, utilizing the statistics and narrative from a landmark study commissioned by the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000, funded by Major League Baseball, and completed in 2005.
The funds were to allow the Museum to expand the scope and depth of its knowledge and historical collection on this aspect of baseball and American culture.
