Let It Bleed is an album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1969.
Released in December, Let It Bleed reached #1 in the UK (temporarily knocking The Beatles' Abbey Road out of the top slot) and #3 on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart in the US, where it eventually went double platinum.
In 1998 Q magazine readers voted Let It Bleed the 69th greatest album of all time and in 2002, it was listed as number 32 on the List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Let it Bleed (novel) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Let it Bleed is a 1996 novel by Ian Rankin.
Detective Inspector John Rebus and Frank Lauderdale start the book with a car chase across Edinburgh, culminating with the two youths they are chasing throwing themselves off the Forth Road Bridge and in Rebus being injured in a car crash.
Rebus' upset over this lets Rankin show him in a new light, revealing his isolation and potentially suicidal despair.

The Stones were never as consistent on album as their main rivals, the Beatles, and Let It Bleed suffers from some rather perfunctory tracks, like "Monkey Man" and a countrified remake of the classic "Honky Tonk Woman" (here titled "Country Honk").
Refining the country and blues-print of Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed is less of an homage than its predecessor, as the songs begin to reflect the personalities that drive them.
They're all still here on Let It Bleed, with their masks on so you can use them—all the cooks and maids, upstairs and downstairs, in "Live With Me," or the presumably well-mangled victims of The Midnight Rambler.

Let it Bleed - Ian Rankin
In Let it Bleed he's involved in a car crash, faced with a root canal and a possible promotion, and given a bag containing the pieces of a cat.
Let it Bleed begins with multiple suicides: first there's a car chase gone bad, and then a terminally ill man offs himself in very dramatic fashion.
Let it Bleed is an occasionally messy novel, built around some very messy crimes, but Rankin keeps things moving at a good pace and comes up with some nice twists.

"Let it Bleed" is to the Stones as "Blood on the Tracks" is to Dylan, an outstanding work that one simply cannot ignore.
The first time I heard "Let it Bleed" I was completely blown away by "Country Honk." I was actually expecting the single version of "Honky Tonk Woman," so when I heard the guitar intro and the horn honk I was immediately on alert.

There's the title track, which says anybody can bleed on Mick if he's not feeling right, and the closing 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' is probably a bit overlong because of the lengthy chorus section in the introduction, but it really don't matter much to me: yet another great song, 'tis all.

A reviewer of the Rolling Stones album, "Let It Bleed", by the name of Danielle Lane of North Carolina (dated, June 10 of 2006) stated, "Sadly, Mick (Taylor) only stayed with the band for one more studio record, leaving to seek his own career..." That statement is untrue.
Mick Taylor played lead guitar with the Rolling Stones on the following four (4) studio albums that were released after, "Let It Bleed": (1) "Sticky Fingers", (2) "Exile on Main Street", (3) "Goat's Head Soap", and (4) "It's Only Rock 'n Roll."
Then there is the dangerous sounding song, "Midnight Rambler." Boy that one will shake you.

Mostly recorded without Brian Jones -- who died several months before its release (although he does play on two tracks) and was replaced by Mick Taylor (who also plays on just two songs) -- this extends the rock and blues feel of Beggars Banquet into slightly harder-rocking, more demonically sexual territory.
