I have read with interest the "invitation" to Letchworth residents to applly for retrospective planning permission for replacement windows etc. It seems the local authority (The Letchworth Garden CIty Heritage Foundation) are prepared to give each resident up to £6,000 or 50% of the cost to replace the windows back to the original design.
The condition of the roads in Letchworth is as bad or worse than those in a third world country.
