 Lethargy -- State Of Unconciousness
You have reached the official Lethargy website, here you will find details about band members, groupies, see when we have a gig, have a look in out guestbook, and leave an entry, see our equipment and lots of other cool stuff.
Our band fell into place quite well really, Sam, Jess and Dom all do music G.C.S.E. so we perform togeher quite often in the lessons, but then we had a thought to form a band, so we found a bassist (Adam), and then started to have some jam sessions.
Did anyone get any photos of Friday's gig (more info on "Band News" page)

 WORLD WIDE LETHARGY
The current status of Lethargy is very much up in the air, as Brann and Bill have moved to Atlanta and have reportedly put together a new band.
Lethargy played their first show in nearly a year and a half on Christmas night 1999 at the Bug Jar in Rochester.
News taken from the Spoth Records page reports that the upcoming Lethargy release will now be a 2-CD set, which will be a COMPLETE discography of Lethargy's entire catalog of studio recordings, from the "Lost In This Existence" 1993 demo up through the 3 new songs recorded in December 1999.

Mastodon is a metal band from Atlanta, Georgia.

 Mastodon: Remission: Pitchfork Review
What stimulates this band's formidable corpus are four super-proficient veteran musicians, two of whom (guitarist Bill Kelliher and drummer Brann Dailor) cut their tusks in Today Is the Day and Lethargy.
A great band whose raging, sodden hellfire now beckons you to warm yourself at its side throughout the impending winter months.
And I suppose it imports a metaphor that fits quite nicely for the band Mastodon, an Atlanta, GA-based quartet that has heavy-music lovers everywhere shitting themselves naked.

Abscess and other wounds in cats
Often, when there is a persistent infection there is an increase in the immature neutrophils (band neutrophils) in the blood stream but this is not always the case.
Signs of early infection may include lameness, localized pain, lethargy or reluctance to eat.
We have seen these abscesses as the result of non-absorbable suture material used during spay procedures but this is an unlikely cause since recognition of this problem has pretty much led to the discontinuation of the use of these materials for spays.

Replicator - index page - Free MP3 downloads, CDs, Bio Info, Tour Dates, Lyrics and More!"
Somewhere between dissonance and consonance, hyperactiveness and lethargy, there is a bi-polar samoan man. That man's name is Humblow, and his favorite band is Replicator, a POWER indie-deviant rock trio in the SF bay area.
In a time when most loud bands are merely large piles of Suck masquerading as 'the next big thing', and most bands with 'indie credentials' are playing softer and quieter then ever before, Replicator remains an enigma.
Fuse the dissonance and experimentation of bands like Sonic Youth with the quirky pop sensibilities of Built to Spill and the Pixies, mix in the over the top rock attack of Dinosaur Jr, you have Replicator.

 KNAC.COM - Reviews - Hypocrisy The Arrival
Hypocrisy has always been one of those bands determined to evolve their style; never ones to be content with the stagnant lethargy of a redundant sound, we have witnessed their evolution from album to album.
Hypocrisy is one of those bands that KNAC needs to get in their regular rotation.
With their latest offering, the boys in Hypocrisy deliver what could very well be the best batch of ultra-heavy, groove-ridden, extra-terrestrial paranoia we have yet to hear from them.

 The_Nightspirit's Xanga Site
Doom Metal, a world of slow, depressive lethargy that delves into one's deep emotions of pain and sorrow.
But with "Things Viral", the band began to attract listeners and many placed Khanate as band of the year with their crushingly painful release.
This song by the disturbing band Khanate is called Skincoat.

 Cincinnati CityBeat : 11/17/2004 : Heavy Hitters
The band got its start when Dailor and Kelliher left Boston after the dissolution of their Hardcore group Today is the Day in 1999 (they had previously played together in Lethargy as well).
From their very first rehearsal, the band knew they had stumbled into something special as what became the Mastodon sound poured out of them from the start.
The summer of 2001 saw the release of Mastodon's debut EP Lifesblood, a work that showcased the band's numerous gifts; a thundering foundation of classic Rock riffs overlaid with the searing passion and blistering attack of Extreme Metal and gilded with Math Rock precision and Prog Rock vision.

 Archive Interviews
When Rocket Science burst onto the Australian music scene sometime mid last year, few bands could boast such immediate chemistry within the outfit, and with their many fans, who were quickly swept up in the wake of their punky and histrionic organ heavy noise.
When we finally got Rocket Sciences front-person/keyboardist/theremin antagonist, poor ol Roman Ticker (a lovely bloke and I wouldnt knock im) on the phone to discuss their new single, One Robot, he was suffering from a touch of interview lethargy.
Starting his first band, Royal Flush, as a 10-year-old punk, he and his bandmate had a bold approach to songwriting.

Arab Strap, With My Latest Novel @ Night & Day
Arab Strap are a special band but it has to be said this was a decidedly ‘un-special’ performance.
In contrast, Arab Strap’s set was shot through with lethargy.
ARAB Strap returned last month with a new album, The Last Romance; a more immediate and fuller record than previous works.

 BNR Metal Pages -- Sulaco
Led by Erik Burke (former Lethargy frontman and briefly a Nuclear Assault member), Sulaco debuted with a 4-track EP that instantly invites comparisons to his former band Lethargy, as it features a similar style of jumpy, twisted, hardcore-laced technical mayhem.
The band is working on their debut full-length album for release later in 2005.
It's pretty exhausting stuff, though the guys keep it short (the EP runs only 15 minutes) for maximum effect.

City Newspaper: Music: Music features: The end of heaviness as we know it.
This won't surprise anyone familiar with the band's collective resume, which includes time served in Within, Mungbeandemon, Kalibas, and, of course, local tech-metal legends Lethargy (which also included Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher, both now members of critically-acclaimed Atlanta thrash-prog hybrid Mastodon, which plays Water Street August 4).
Sulaco's music plays like audio invisible ink --- by the time your mind has grasped one idea, it's too late because the band is already somewhere else, and the listener constantly loses a sense of footing.
Sulaco makes disorientation palatable, though, thanks in no small part to Golding, who matches extreme speed with extreme finesse and profound compositional sense, deftly smoothing out the angular rhythmic edges and giving the music true flow.

Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions: Bavarian Fruit Bread
First solo project from the ex-singer of the band Mazzy Star, Bavarian Fruit Bread is a bare album which reveals its beauty in the subtlety of harmonies on the edge of lethargy.
Following the unremarkable "Bavarian Fruit Bread", a peaceful "Around My Smile" could almost close the LP as a charming lullaby if it were not for "Lose Me On The Way", a noisy dream (or nightmare) with a velvet touch.
A perfect companion to a moment of serenity, Bavarian Fruit Bread is an album that deserves a careful ear.

And the people Timmins writes about aren't terribly different from other characters who have popped up on past Junkies albums.

 TrouserPress.com :: Galaxie 500
In the years after Galaxie 500 disbanded, Wareham has been leading Luna.
With plaints like "I don't wanna stay at your party/I don't wanna talk with your friends/I don't wanna vote for your president/I just wanna be your tugboat captain," Galaxie 500 made a virtue of lethargy.
On Fire acknowledges a past master of mopery with an unsanctimonious cover of George Harrison's "Isn't It a Pity." This second release shapes out the spaces between Dean Wareham's proto-strum and whine/wail, Naomi Yang's exceptionally melodic bass lines (the band's true emotional center) and Damon Krukowski's economical drumming.

The guitars are less rugged, and the compositions when stripped of their vast medieval dressings, are shorter, more direct and honestly more “rock” and less weighty, doom metal lethargy.
This German Neo classically inspired/medieval-metal/doom band comprising of twenty of so musicians are the very epitome of ambitious, and even after two fine albums, continue to develop, this time by tackling the turbulent life and times of Galileo for this deep concept album.
Its just pity many metal heads (and for some reason labels-why are this lot still mired on tiny Drakkar?) will simply not comprehend the vast undertaking this outfit take upon themselves and deliver flawlessly.

Heart Like a River by Ida
Ida present everything we love to hear from the band -- amazing harmonies that never get old against lush arrangements that leave you aching in the best possible way.
"Evolving from similar narcoleptic roots as Low, Codeine and even Death Cab, Ida’s slow waltzing processions rank high in the canon of lethargy-rock, and Heart Like A River is no slow slouch."
Recorded between August 2003 and April 2004, Heart Like a River is Ida's first record in four years and released on their new home, Polyvinyl Records.

Supergrass provides 'infectious' tunes suitable for all occasions
While the band's previous albums, I Should Coco (1995) and In it for the Money (1997) got annoyingly chirpy in parts, Supergrass's maturity shines through life's dark maelstrom clouds as the lads address issues threatening to their good times (lethargy, religion, homesickness).
The real gem on the album is the climaxing "Faraway." What "Eye of the Tiger" is to jocks, "Faraway" is to nerds like me. Bassist Mick Quinn takes over the vocals, reciting a poem refusing his concession to critics.
Singer/guitarist Gaz Coombes' voice is on the brink of cracking on just about every song, particularly the uplifting opener, "Moving." Pounding pianos and bottomless bass hooks leap into and through listeners' ears after Coombes' minute-long vocal solo.
