Submitted minute of the Lettermore Sub-Committee made at meeting held on the 18th March, 1930, appointing Miss Ellen McDonagh, Bealadangan, as Clerk to the Sub-Committee, Councillor Keane proposed, the Chairman seconded:— “That the appointment of Miss Ellen McDonagh as Clerk to Lettermore Sub-Committee be confirmed— Passed.”
Ar an dara clúdach tá an seoladh: “Miss E. McDonagh, the Clerk of the Lettermore Pension Sub-Committee, Bealadangan, Co. Galway.” Isé an dáta atá ar an gelúdach san ná 20adh Meadhon Fhoghmhair, 1929.
Joseph Maude was appointed, in 1908, Secretary to the Lettermore Sub-Committee of the County Galway Pension Committee.

The four man crew of the custom built Galway Hooker the Naomh Bairbre (St Barbara), which set sail from Chicago on 26 April, pulled up at the pier in Lettermore at around 3pm on Saturday afternoon, completing the 60 day crossing.
The boat is the largest Hooker ever built, measuring in at 47ft long with a displacement of 26 tons.
The vessel was manned by Steve Mulkerrins of Lettermore, Patrick Joyce (the skipper) and his brother Tom of Inis Mor in Aran Islands, Barney Flaherty of Lettermore and Coley Newell of Kilcolgan.
