“Mwanawasa allowed himself to be imposed on the MMD by Chiluba who hand-picked him for a specific mission, that of protecting him and his henchmen,” the newspaper said.
Meantime, petitions contesting Mwanawasa’s election from the three leading opposition candidates are pending in the Supreme Court.

A good student, Mr Mwanawasa hauled Mr Chiluba to court on charges of stealing $488,000, his wife of being in possession of stolen state property.
Since Mr Mwanawasa was declared winner, Mr Sata has continued to puncture holes into "everything Mwanawasa." The president can't be all that bad.
As an incumbent, Mr Mwanawasa doesn't seem to have reserved anything to stir the souls of Zambians.
