		Lexington is located in southern Nebraska, on the Platte River, southeast of North Platte.
		The town is noted for its relatively high proportion of Mexican-Americans for central Nebraska (over 50% over the town population), reflected in the Spanish language businesses in downtown and along U.S. Highway 30.

		Lexington Police Department Investigator Kenneth Schumacher testified Thursday that people who knew Zavala-Ruiz said he was selling false identification documents, including birth certificates and Social Security cards.
		The continuing investigation is a cooperative effort of the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office, the Lexington Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
