Originally a campsite for the first settlers in the Bluegrass, this 26-acre nature sanctuary features trails past natural springs, restored limestone fences originally constructed in the early 1800s, the remains of a historic grist mill and farm, and a quarry, from which most of the stone for the buildings on the site was taken.

The Lexington Legends, who play in Lexington, Kentucky, are a Class A minor league baseball team affiliated with the Houston Astros, in the South Atlantic League.
On May 31, 2006, it was announced that Roger Clemens would be coming out of retirement for the third time to pitch for the Houston Astros for the remainder of the 2006 season.
Planning to keep himself to a strict 60-pitch count, Clemens returned to baseball with the Legends in where his oldest son, Koby, plays.
