Tony Hyland, Liam Grogan and Darren Mulholland are young Irish Republican POW's currently being held in British Gaols.
Anthony Hyland, 26, was jailed for 25 years and Darren Mulholland, 20, and Liam Grogan, 21, sentenced to 22 years each.
Tony Hyland from Dublin was in the fourth year of an arts degree at University College Dublin; Liam Grogan, from County Kildare, has a university commerce degree, while Mulholland, from Dundalk, was on the second year of a theoretical physics degree at University College Belfast.

Three Irish university students have been sentenced to a total of 69 years in jail by a judge at the Old Bailey for their part in plotting bomb attacks in London last year in opposition to the Good Friday Agreement.
Anthony Hyland, aged twenty-six, no address given, was sentenced to twenty-five years.
Darren Mulholland, aged twenty from Dundalk, and twenty-two year old Liam Grogan, from Naas, were both jailed for twenty-two years.

After the meeting Frank Corcoran said Liam Hyland fully accepts that the current Ewe premium policy is unfair to Ireland and has pledged his full support for the IFA campaign to secure change at European level.
The Leinster Fianna Fail MEP Mr Hyland said he fully accepted the case made by IFA on behalf of Irish sheep farmers and would do all in his power at European level to positively progress matters.
Mr Hyland said that he would continue to apply maximum pressure at European level for the policy reformed which would secure a fair and just outcome for the Irish Sheep Sector in the next WTO rounds.

Mikko PESÄLÄ (ELDR, FIN) took issue with an amendment seeking to bring drinking water used by animals under the scope of the directive and indeed in his reply Commissioner David BYRNE too felt that this was not possible.
Liam HYLAND (UEN, Leinster) underlined the importance of the legislation by plugging a gap in existing measures.
Confirming this in his reply, Commissioner Byrne said that the Commission's response was designed to address shortcomings revealed by the dioxin crisis and also to enable the Member States to act swiftly in the case of an emergency through the new "action threshold" approach.

SPEAKING in the European Parliament last week, Liam Hyland, MEP, highlighted the crisis in farm income in Ireland.
He said MEPs would be failing in their duty if they did not respond to what is an emergency situation, resulting from an unprecedented set of circumstances, which could not have been anticipated in the context of the CAP Reform.
He declared that if the Irish family farm is to survive within a framework of the European model, greater efficiencies must be achieved through co-operation and well planned partnerships.

Among those approached were Magee, fronted by Eric Morrow, John Keown of Donegal Creameries, Benny Dorrian from Ballyshannon and myself, Liam Hyland.
All were agreeable and a series of meetings took place, at one of which, a fund was set up to bankroll the campaign.

Emergency vaccinations should be applied as a first resort to livestock on farms with suspected cases according to a report from the European Parliaments temporary committee on foot and mouth.
According to the Committee, of which Irish MEPs Avril Doyle and Liam Hyland are members, the current EU policy of stamping out‚ outbreaks by culling livestock - suspected or otherwise of the disease - “cannot continue in its present form”.
Irish Commissioner David Byrne is also in favour of this new approach to tackling the disease which wreaked havoc on the farming, agricultural and tourism economies in Ireland last year.

Real IRA members Tony Hyland, Liam Grogan and Darren Mulholland were convicted of conspiracy to cause explosions in London in 1998.

Liam Hyland, Leinster MEP last week tabled several amendments, including an EU-sponsored promotion campaign for sheep meat, special measures to avoid serious market disruptions and above all a 32 euro (£25.27) ewe premium.
