Library and Archives Canada (in French: Bibliothèque et Archives Canada) is a cultural institution created by the Parliament of Canada in 2004 (S.C. 2004, c.11).
It merges the Public Archives of Canada founded in 1872 and the National Library of Canada founded in 1953.
The building of Library and Archives Canada was opened on June 20, 1967 by Prime Minister Lester B. Pearson with 400,000 volumes of information which has grown to over 18,000,000.

We are pleased to report that Library and Archives Canada has added this site to their list of external research links for World War One History.
We have searched ArchiviaNet of Library and Archives Canada and found the Attestation Papers of Josiah Chancellor Kennedy, listed as Regimental Number 51288.
As each of these pages were posted to the archives site as an individual JPEG file, we have downloaded all of these, enhanced them with PaperPort ScanSoft, converted them to BandW PaperPort files to reduce the file size from 36 megabytes to 3.9 megabytes, and then printed them to ADOBE PDF format for easy viewing.
