In some states the Lieutenant Governor is the presiding officer of the upper house of the legislature.

As we were planning the trip to Quebec City, I had also been invited by John King of Vermont Public Television and James Wyant of the Public Television Association of Quebec to be the guest of honor at a concert by the Montreal Chamber Orchestra to honor the victims of 9-11.
