		It has more of an uplifting sound to it, which put me off, but there is a bit of a dreary interlude in there.

		LIFE IS KILLING ME is fantastic in all senses, "Thir13teen" is a good instrumental, from the TV series "The Munsters", "I Don't Wanna Be Me" is simply great, nice chorus and sensible lyrics from Pete's point of view, "Less Than Zero (<0)" has greater lyrics, sound is ace.

		"Life Is Killing Me", the title song for this CD, is a showcase for Steele's Goth influenced vocals, with the melody practically stopping while he intones his dissatisfaction with the medical institutions and professionals; then speeding up to a fast and catchy chorus.
		And even if titles like Life Is Killing Me, Anesthesia or The Dream Is Dead are (slightly) higher-paced, that doesn't prevent them from being perfect pieces of depression, with their deep down-tuned guitars and as-sick-as-ever backing keyboards.
		Granted, Life Is Killing Me may be the catchiest Type O Negative album, but it's still not selling out - it sounds more like the logical evolution and summary of the band's whole career.

		Like "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" or "Agents of Fortune", all the pieces fit; and though "Life Is Killing Me" may not make great steps forward, for now the ugly universe it unleashes is a great place to be.

		"Life Is Killing Me" starts out with the fast-paced, almost punk rock-ish, "I Don't Wanna Be Me" (okay, it's actually the second track, after some bizarre sound effects thingy) and goes from there, delivering track after track of epic, haunting, heaviness.
		The cover on "Life Is Killing Me" might be a little more difficult to find as it's not a Beatles tune, etc.
		Instead, it's a cover of "Angry Inch" from John Cameron Mitchell's film "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." Maybe not as satisfying as some of the Type O's earlier covers, but a unique choice, nonetheless.

		I was a bit of a latecomer when it came to discovering Brooklyn’s own gothic influenced-metal/fl humoured Black Sabbath/Beatles inspired Type O Negative.
		In the four years in between albums, the D.V.D. After Dark and the anti-compilation The Least Worst Of Type O Negative (Both released in 2000) have kept fans happy (Or miserable for that matter) until now.
		There’s a slight punk feel to the track, and on the whole is one of the albums more faster paced numbers.

		Although Dope is definately considered a metal band, this CD show a wonderful diversity in the band.
