For Noll, the experience was about repaying the faith of the fans who made his debut album, 2004's That's What I'm Talking About a five times Platinum success that spawned three ARIA No. 1 Singles.
Whereas his debut featured just the one co-writing credit, this time around Shannon has co-written 11 of Lift's 13 tracks.
The emotional centrepiece of LIFT is "Now I Run", the song Shannon wrote for his late father, who was killed in a farming accident in 2001.
ShannonNoll's debut album "That's what I'm talking About" went 5 times Platinum in Australia and garnered him 3 consecutive #1 ARIA chart singles 'What about me', 'Drive' and 'Learn to fly' in 2004.
Australia's IDOL runner-up ShannonNoll's meteoric rise to fame has shown no signs of slowing down since the launch of his first smash single 'What About Me' on Australia Day 2004.
The album new "Lift" will be followed by his biggest national tour yet, playing theatres across the country in all states and regional areas.
He’ll soon be releasing more singles from the hugely popular albumLift.
Shannon said that even with the recent excitement in his life, those days spotlighting and tracking with his father and grandfather will always be among his fondest memories.
He also said that Shannon is a real “everyday, down to earth bloke who doesn’t act like a superstar or grandstand, and that is why he is so well liked in the town”.
