		Lights Out holds up well; its subtleties are worth mentioning because the band always make it a point to rock hard and the playing is always on.

		Although UFO has gone through many changes over the years, and hit a bump or two in the road along the way, it hasn’t slowed the band down one single bit.
		Aside from the great classic albums UFO has put out over the years like the “Lights Out” album back in 1977, or the “Obsession” album in 1978, or even the newer albums like “Covenant” released in 2000, or their “Sharks” album in 2002, the legendary rock band still continues to write, record, and tour.

		Most UFO albums have at least one stellar track on it (sometimes many more) but from start to finish you couldn't ask for a better hard rock record.

		If you're wanting to buy UFO albums, you have a few choices on which issues to get (sadly though, they aren't sold most American stores.) There are the Russian twofers, the British twofers, the onefers with bonus tracks, and the plain old onefers that don't have any bonus tracks at all.
		UFO too often had trouble coming up with a complete album of great songs, but this is one where they hit the nail on the head.
		The key to the album is the sheer diversity of the material, which for the most part is hard rock, but covering the wide spectrum of that genre better than 99% of their peers.

		There is no denying UFO was not the hard rocking force it was just a few years before this release, but Mechanix is still a terrific album.

		Overall the album does not give the fans a new "Doctor Doctor" but this is a solid collection of songs that U.F.O can be proud of and "Sharks" proves UFO's justification in their forth decade as band.
