When the light of day surrounds the stream of vision, then like falls upon like, and they coalesce, and one body is formed by natural affinity in the line of vision, wherever the light that falls from within meets with an external object.

The White Sybil By Clark Ashton Smith
Goddess, ghost or woman, he knew not which, she passed fleetly and was gone: a creature of snow and norland light, with eyes like moon-pervaded pools, and lips that were smitten with the same pallor as the brow and bosom.
Then she was a thing that had no form or name—a dark corruption that flowed and eddied in his arms—a hueless dust, a flight of gleaming atoms, that rose between his evaded fingers.
But ever afterward there was a cloudy dimness in his mind, a blur of unresolving shadow, like the dazzlement in eyes that have looked on some insupportable light.

Hate Campaign was produced by Estby who had been producing bands (and doing live sound for bands like Hellacopters) since circa 1995 (most recently not at Sunlight any longer because of differences of opinion with house producer Skogsberg) and featured bass-for-hire D'Angelo who had never rehearsed with the band prior to the recording session.
It is not quite Like An Ever Flowing Stream, but it is as good as albums like Death Metal, Hate Campaign and Massive Killing Capacity.
Then again, when you hear that a band like Crematory had a recording budget that was ten or fifteen times higher than the last two Dismember albums, then you think that can't be good for the bands either.

 Dismember - Swedish Death Metal
Songs are usually a permutation of a verse-chorus infrastructure, broken into subsections and riff-salad variants to avoid the simple ratcheting loop of that contrast, held together in the basic rhythm of the drums while guitars synchronize their rhythms closer to the brutal beating that death deserves.
As a result, this music has in itself an elusive passage of transcendence in which it is forever from the mud reaching toward the stars.
In the thunderous style of the electric nerve energy that is Swedish death metal this release attacks, but the stance which displays too much consciousness of form for the truly chaotic bursts of structure that defined the exuberance and morbid passion which characterized early works from this band has seized hold of its spirit.

Still it seems an odd choice for continuation of the persecution when, as the author of Acts has just said, "the apostles" were still in Jerusalem and the "church" was scattered into nearby Judaea and Samaria.
However, the most likely explanation is that the "land of Damascus" in the Damascus Document had a purely symbolic significance, based on a sectarian reinterpretation of one or two passages in the Jewish scripture.
It seems more likely that the note was added by a later reader of the letter, whose knowledge of Paul’s past hardships as a missionary was quite limited.

An especially memorable scene: Maly concluded one of the largest rallies, with hundreds of thousands of participants, with a unison recital of the Lord's Prayer as a sign of reconciliation.
One of the most oppressive phenomena of life under the conditions of "Real Socialism" was that, coupled to the repressive monopoly of power by the one decisive party, was an intolerant monopoly of truth: Marxism-Leninism as "science of all sciences and art of all arts" (as is written on the walls of the university).

The debut album, "Like An Ever Flowing Stream" from 1991, clearly showed that Dismember are an uncompromising band, which resulted in their rise to cult status within a short period of time after the album took the scene by storm.
Extensive touring with bands like Death and Cannibal Corpse showed that Dismember are a live force to be reckoned with and the number of fans grew steadily.Spurred on by success, it was easy for mastermind, drummer and producer, Fred Estby and co. to commence the song writing for the next album.
The tour which followed took Dismember to America for the first time where they left an astonished audience behind after tearing through the US of A like a runaway train before returning to Europe to take part in the first Nuclear Blast Festival tour with label mates Hypocrisy, Amorphis and Benediction.

Christy Barnes cites Havel as she relates her understanding that the first capacity that makes a poet "is the ability to open oneself to the world...with that gentle opening of the soul which we call wonder." Wonder is to the heart as curiosity is to the intellect.
Wonder is a desire, marked by "warmth, an inner brooding, a humming musical world," to explore the "essences and origins." Wonder leads to pondering the world's beginning, she continues, how something came of nothing, and how we can tell about it.
