In the 1800s, the Limekilns were used in a several day process to make concrete.
The trail is a few minutes north of limekiln State park.

Directions:Along Hwy #1 at Limekiln State Park, 2.1 miles south of Lucia (52 miles south of Carmel).
You will cross Limekiln Creek, and then skip and hop your way along the creek to the waterfall, crossing the creek several times.
We didn't camp here, but it seemed like an excellent campground, most sites were right alongside pretty Limekiln Creek.
