Linxia is a County in the Gansu province, China.
Linxia, was once an important stop on the Silk Road between Lanzhou amd Yangguan, located at northwestern China's Gansu Province, about 160Km to Lanzhou, with a large of mosque in the center of town, and also with deepest Muslim Hui character: Islam culture, Muslim folklore.
Linxia is also a stop on trips from Lanzhou to towns in the Tibetan parts of southern Gansu including the famed Labrang Monastery in Xiahe.

I was enchanted by the views of country life, the farmers in their fields, the golden wheat and still fresh silked corn interspersed with barley heavy on the stalk, bent down by the fat whiskery heads.

The intensification of atmospheric circulation seen in the increases in MAR of eolian material in the Linxia Basin is correlated with Asian desertification which is likely associated with Arctic ice volume increase and with Late Miocene and Pliocene global cooling.
