The Lion's Gate Bridge (additional info and facts about Lion's Gate Bridge) spans the first narrows of Burrard Inlet.
The original Second Narrows Bridge was constructed in 1925, and was the first bridge to connect Vancouver (A port city in southwestern British Columbia on an arm of the Pacific Ocean opposite Vancouver Island; Canada's chief Pacific port and third largest city) with the North Shore.
This bridge was originally constructed with a car deck and a year later in 1926 trains began using the bridge as well.
