Please stay on the topic of BDSM (fiction and poetry are allowable, but it must be labelled as such for those who don't wish to read it.) Adults (emotionally and, of course, chronologically) interested in BDSM are invited to join the discussion.
The main reason for this list, is because I feel there are a number of people in the Los Angeles area that are part of the BDSM lifestyle, and don't have a list of their own, and this is for them.
This mailing list is for those who define themselves as bottoms, boys (either male or female), slaves or submissives and those who are interested in being one, to gather in a safe environment (read no tops) to discuss concerns, feelings, and issues that are important to them.

 The BDSM FAQ
This FAQ list is my attempt to help spread some better information, in the hopes that the more everyone knows about what SM _really_ is (and what it is _not_), the harder it will be for people to use twisted facts to condemn others because of their sexuality.
Sometimes the claim is made that such BDSM relationships are just ways for the dominant to break down their submissive's will, and to accept abuse because the submissive (according to the dominant, and perhaps also in the submissive's own opinion) deserves no better.
This kind of relationship is _not_ a consensual BDSM relationship; the dominant in a consensual relationship listens to and respects the limits of their bottom, and does not seek to break down the bottom's personality, but rather to build it up through the kind of relationship that both enjoy and desire.

JanesGuide.com Reviews of BDSM Fiction websites
This BDSM resource center has a handful of erotic stories, dozens upon dozens of poems, a collection of well known essays, a discussion board, and local scene info.
Each story lists a title, reviews, a short summary, category, genre, rating, what date it was published, word count, whether or not it is complete, number of chapters, warnings, and when it was last updated.
I found that with books cross listed in a number of categories the excerpt might show, for example, why it is an extremely steamy vampire novel, but might leave out the elements that make appropriate for the gay/bisexual listing.
