Germany was defeated and Operation Sealion, the proposed invasion of the British Isles, was abandoned.
U.S. led and trained Chinese divisions, a British division and a few thousand U.S. ground troops, cleared the Japanese forces from northern Burma so that the Ledo Road could be built to replace the Burma Road.
British, Indian and Australian forces counterattacked (see Operation Compass), but this offensive stopped in 1941 when much of the Commonwealth forces were transferred to Greece to defend it from German attack.

The Northern England based sport of rugby league has maintained a top division club called the London Broncos in the capital in recent years as part of its expansion efforts, but the club has struggled to be viable.
There are also London teams in the top-flight British leagues in ice hockey (London Racers) and basketball (London Towers), but neither of these sports draws nearly the large number of spectators that football and rugby union do.

One PHIB Unit can land one Marine Division on an enemy shore, and also can bring along one division of other troops (up to and including Mechanized and Armor Divisions) as reinforcements, but these reinforcements can only be landed if the Marines secure a beachhead.
The advantage is that they can choose where to land, and that the small size of their invasion beachhead limits the number of defending units that can oppose them.
The second turn, whoever has the most total number of land units in the battle is the attacker (either trying to expand the beachhead, or push it into the sea) and whomever has the smaller number of units must defend.

The only British forces in Burma were a heterogeneous mixture of Burmese, British, and Indian units known as the Army in Burma.
The British were fighting for the future of their empire in the Far East and had little concern for China.
But British intelligence was weak, and unknown to Burma's Allied defenders, the Japanese were steadily increasing their forces in the country and had developed plans which would soon outflank these defenses.

I don't know whether you have had a reply to your question yet as you said it is difficult to find out British divisions.
I am always researching more and more and have collected a sizeable list, if you would like me to tell you the ones I have found I would be glad to help.
