		The Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music (2004) defines CCM as "music that appeals to self-identified fans of contemporary Christian music on account of a perceived connection to what they regard as Christianity".
		Based on this definition, this list includes artists that work in the Christian music industry as well as artists in the general market.

		With the track listing jumping from year to year, not even in a countdown fashion, it just feels like there's no rhyme or reason to the sequencing.
		It would have been a real treat to have a booklet insert with pictures of the artists and album covers and perhaps comments on the songs from the artists or other artists whom the songs have impacted.

		Although there is no formula for being a Star in the CCM industry, it seems that the way to become one is to be on a major label or do something so big outside of the industry that you demand recognition inside of it.
		Sure there are a few token artists here and there, but as a whole the major labels who control the industry choose to define their sound by your typical white country boy that plays the guitar or piano- the guy that every Mom wants their daughter to marry.

		One of the most notable examples is the fact that MercyMe, one of the most popular groups in CCM today, is nowhere to be found on this compilation.
		Nicole Mullen's cover of "Victory Chant" flows horribly with the rest of the compilation and leaves listeners thinking that there had to be at least one song--any song--from Mullen's recent CDs that would have been a better fit.
		Either there are several artists on the compilation that you absolutely love and want to have every song that they have ever done or there are several of your favorite worship songs on the compilation.
