  1st Canadian Troop Convoy
This is a list of the ships of the WW1 convoy (October 1914), in alphabetical order (ie not the way they lined up for sailing in the actual convoy).
The main object was the protection of an important convoy of Canadian troops, which was crossing from Halifax, and which the battle-cruiser Princess Royal and the battleship Majestic had been sent to meet and to protect.
The Dreadnought Battle Fleet, with its divisions widely spread, worked to the northward of Area No. 5, and the 3rd Battle Squadron to the northward of Area No. 4, whilst the 6th Battle Squadron was utilised to watch the waters between the Dreadnought Battle Fleet and Norwegian territorial waters.

Twice the head of the Historical Division (1919-1925 and 1930-1933), he wrote a monumental source history of the early years of the Marine Corps, which was made available in manuscript form to many major public and university libraries.
His praise of the gallant work of the division on the 18th and 19th is echoed by the French high command, the Third Corps commander, American Expeditionary Forces, and in a telegram from the former division commander.
Owing to its world-wide reputation for skill and valor, the Second Division was selected by the commander in chief of the Allied Armies as his special reserve, and has been held in readiness to strike a swift and powerful blow at the vital point of the enemy's line.

Great installations were set up for the manufacture of gun parts and articles of like nature, for the repair of damaged material as well as for the utilization of the vast quantities of articles of all kinds collected from the battlefields by the organization working under the direction of the controller of salvage.
To reduce to cadre a depleted division, to fill it, up when men be came available, to break up a battalion and redistribute its personnel, to comb out a certain number of fit men from the rearward services, all sound simple operations.
Provided with a definite establishment for armies, corps, and divisions, as well as for the principal base ports, base camps, hospitals, and certain other units, they insure that the benefit of religion is brought within the reach of every soldier.

One hundred divisions of German troops were hurled against 60 British and French divisions, forcing the Allies to retreat before them.
He was, in essence on loan to the Canadian government for a period of three years.
Eventually WCA was taken over by Canadian Airways and MacLaren was made assistant general manager for B.C. James Richardson, the founder, tried to form a national airline by buying out smaller competitors.

Here a list of Italian Binoculars makers in order of age: Koritska Milano: They made photographic lenses, microscopes, survey optics and after WWI binoculars also.I have heard more times that the binoculars issued to lookouts on board of Italian Subarines during WWII were Koritska 7x50.
I have been developing a list of binoculars that they will fit, and which size filter is necessary for each binocular, but the list is far from complete.

Perhaps a listing of known night fighters would be a good way to start a search for specialized binoculars they might have had as equipment.
It would be interesting if someone could explain on the list by what techniques these reticules were made (well before the time of optical etching techniques developed for the chip industry).
