 The inhuman embargoes on Turkish Cypriots
The main reason for the grave violation of Turkish Cypriot human rights by the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus is their illegal usurpation, since 1963, of the title of "Government of the Republic of Cyprus".
Although the embargoes are imposed or instigated by the Greek Cypriot administration, the international community, whether intentionally or not, participates in them in consequence of their treatment of the Greek Cypriot side as if it were the "legitimate government of the whole of Cyprus".
As a result of the unwarranted Greek Cypriot claim that all ports in the TRNC are "illegal", the international community restricts not only the freedom of movement of Turkish Cypriots but also the freedom of movement of visitors who would like to come to the TRNC.

The problem at the heart of the matter is the fact that Greek Cypriots are demanding certain guarantees be implemented by Turkey of which they want listed in the Dec. 17 European Union summit declaration.
That is why the dialogue between those EU countries appears to be trying to appease the Greek Cypriots and those who are angry with the temerity of the Greek Cypriots.
If the Greek Cypriots succeed in including their demands in the EU summit declaration, this will mean the bankruptcy of the union's Cyprus policy and its replacement with a policy of flmail.

Greek Cypriot media reported that "the names of the seven other sets of remains identified after the exhumations had been known at the time of burial in 1974, but had somehow been lost since then, the ministry statement indicated." Reports also said that 4 of them died of natural causes.
It is ironic that for over 25 years all Greek Cypriot governments and politicians have been allowed by the international community to use the issue of the so called missing people in the international arena to gain political advantages against the Turkish Cypriot side and put Turkey into the chair of guilty.
The cases submitted to the CMP at that time shows that all the Turkish Cypriots were civilians while 898 of the Greek Cypriots were military, which shows that most of the Greek Cypriots died either due to the fighting amongst themselves or against the Turkish side.

The announcement was made by Cypriot foreign minister Yannakis Kasoulidis, who underlined that the families of the 126 missing Cypriots -whose names were initially in the list, but later withdrawn and not submitted in the list of enquiry committee- would be notified.
In a separate development, Cypriot defence minister Socrates Hasikos is scheduled to meet with the EU representative on EU common foreign and defence policy, Xavier Solana, in Brussels on Wednesday.
