 Else Alfelt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Else Alfelt (September 16, 1910 - August 9, 1974) was a painter who was born and died in Copenhagen.
Alfelt begun her painting career early but never had any formal education in art.
She sent art pieces to the yearly show of Danish artists (Kunstnernes Efterårsudstilling) beginning in 1929, but was not accepted there until 1936 displaying two naturalistic portraits.

According to official statistics from January 2002 84.3% of Danes are members of the state church, the Danish People's Church (Den Danske Folkekirke), also known as the Church of Denmark, a form of Lutheranism; the rest are primarily of other Christian denominations and also about 2% are Muslims.
For the last decade Danish People's Church has seen a decline in the number of memberships.
Asatru was approved as a religious movement by the Danish government on November 8th 2003.

 The Magical Realism Page
The term "magical realism" was coined by a German art critic, Franz Roh, in the late 1920s for painters trying to show reality in a new way.
If anybody accuses you of writing science fiction or fantasy, get a sort of sick look and suggest in a contemptuous tone that your interlocuter obviously didn't understand your work, which may look like science fiction but is really something far more profound.
In the interests of educating someone for whom magical realism (as listed here) is an occasional indulgence, like French silk pie, leading to a feeling of lethargy, I hope someone will discuss Hulme in terms of magical realism.
