I think we could improve this article by moving the full list of games to a List of Mario games and mentioning only the most important ones here.
There are many, many links to Donkey Kong over the course of the article, most of which refer to the game, Donkey Kong (arcade game) while they POINT to the character, Donkey Kong.
Mario Mario and Luigi Mario have been confermed to be the Mario Bros. fulll names by Shigeru Miyamoto, the guy who created Mario and all the games Mario and friends were ever in.

Also, while I love both Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr, I would personally prefer the original to be on the list, as this was THE game that helped the Colecovision make a big impact when it was launched.
Some changes have been made here, dropping some games that I never thought should be on the list in the first place, personally (like Star Fortress and KevTris which are both good games but not top 20).
This was the first game you could switch off, and then pick up where you left off at some future time.

This game didn’t work on my z71 because it requires A LOT (as much as you have) of free internal RAM and dynamic heap memory which only my T3 has.
These games were no longer selling or doing well, so Astraware decided to make them free.

Mario was originally a carpenter, not a plumber as he became later with the introduction of Mario Bros. The word "donkey", in Donkey Kong, is a play on the Japanese word for "stupid".
Mario can also grab a hammer (by jumping up to it) to smash barrels, fireballs, and cement tubs for additional points but the hammer can only be used for a limited amount of time.
Move Mario up a ladder (so that his hands are at the top of the ladder) and the barrells will not come down on Mario.
