English people - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The preponderance of the R1b haplotype on the Y chromosomes of English men (about 70%) indicates that they are descended primarily from the earliest paleolithic peoples thought to have recolonised western Europe after the end of the last major glaciation some 10-12 thousand years ago.
Y chromosome analysis of people from Britain, Denmark, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Friesland and the Basque Country of Northern Spain and South Western France has revealed that the Germanic (Danish/North German/Frisian) component in the male line of descent is higher in some areas of England than others.
The influence on the English language by Danes, particularly in the former Danelaw, is most pronounced in places like York, formerly the settlement of Jorvik, although Jorvik is derived from the Old English Eoforwīcthe and in turn possibly from the Brythonic name Eborakon which was a settlement long before the Danes.

Some people claim that “over” cannot be used to signify “more than,” as in “Over a thousand baton-twirlers marched in the parade.” “Over,” they insist, always refers to something physically higher: say, the blimp hovering over the parade route.
Some people insist that “regime” should be used only in reference to governments, and that people who say they are following a dietary regime should instead use “regimen”; but “regime” has been a synonym of “regimen” for over a century, and is widely accepted in that sense.
People who are happy can correctly say they feel good, but if they say they feel well, we know they mean to say they’re healthy.

Due to the volume of postings and the fact that each posting must be approved and edited by hand, the CFP list and web archive is only for calls for papers, not for general conference announcements.
The CFP list is meant strictly for announcements of calls for papers, not for discussion of conferences and certainly not for discussion of anything else, including social issues, chain letters, virus warnings, and so on.
In 1995 the English Department at the University of Pennsylvania established the cfp@english.upenn.edu mailing list to facilitate the exchange of information on upcoming conferences and publication opportunities, and archives of the postings were later made available on the Web.

In Drama the skill levels are cumulative and people structure their courses accordingly.
This seems to be the direction of the achievement standards ie as we progress to Level 3 the standards seem to become less creative and more focussed on reading and writing which does not actually reflect the English curriculum, nor, as you say, what a lot of schools are doing in their English programmes.
I personally felt that it was a pity to put drama and static image together in one standard at Level 1 but by Level 3 we have static image, drama and oral/spoken in together.

If you are interested in finding your friends or having someone find you or simply talking to other people that have something in common with you, it would make sense to add yourself to the list so that others may contact you.
