The GDP of a country is defined as the market value of all final goods and services produced within a country in a given period of time.
GDP per capita is often used as an indicator of standard of living in an economy.
GDP is intended to be a measure of particular types of economic activity within a country.

Agreement on a final draft of the European constitution was reached on the 18 June 2004 at an Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels and now awaits ratification by the EU member states.
Were it a country, it would be the seventh largest in the world by area.
