Topic: List of Famicom games

Super Nintendo Entertainment System - Wikipedia
Game cartridges, depending on which market they were released in, were of different shapes to restrict the playing of games intended for a single market and to control pricing in those markets.
Games towards the end of the console's lifecycle, such as Super Mario RPG could detect this deadlock situation and refuse to run, so it later became common to install a switch that disconnected and connected the lockout chip as required.
Most games used 256x224 pixels since higher resolutions caused slowdown, flicker, and/or had increased limitations on layers and colors (due to memory bandwidth constraints); the higher resolutions were used for less processor-intensive games, in-game menus, text, and high resolution images.

Notable games released for the FDS include Doki Doki Panic (adapted for North American release as Super Mario Bros. 2), Konami's Castlevania series, and the original Super Mario Bros. 2, which was eventually released overseas for the Super NES as The Lost Levels as part of Nintendo's Super Mario All-Stars collection.
The business side of this was that game developers were now forced to pay a license fee to Nintendo, to submit to Nintendo's quality assurance process, to buy developer kits from Nintendo, and to utilize Nintendo as the manufacturer for all cartridges and packaging.
A few unlicensed games released in Europe and Australia came in the form of a dongle that would be connected to a licensed game, in order to use the licensed game's 10NES lockout chip for authentication.

I am interested in alot of the SNES ports to famicom like super mario world and the weird sonic/mario game Somari.
You'll mostly find famiclones in America and England because they stalls wouldnt manage to sell game systems when you cant get games for them everywhere, while in places as I've mentioned before the famicom bootleg games are in every store.
Luckily I doubt the games will be considered rare seen as theres hundreds of famiclones and hundreds of bootleg carts going round.

This is a list of all NES and Famicom cartridges (and disks) released worldwide.
This list is intended to be a reference for the NES/FC cartridge collector, as well as a guide to what cartridges were released where, how many "flavors" the carts come in, etc. This is a cartridge list, not a ROM list (though ROMs have been used in obtaining some of the info).
Since all known alternate titles are listed for each game, the search should direct you to the game you are looking for, if an alternate version exists.

Hey, I enjoy the game as much as the next guy, but for three bucks, I could go out and buy a pack of e-reader cards containing the same game.
If I want to go out and experience buying THAT GAME, pulling it out of the original box, and shoving the cartridge into my system for the first time, then this is the way to go.
And I may or may not be willing to pay $20 for it, but everything from the box art to the grey cartridges is geared toward the nostalgia buff.
