December 6, 2006 - Final Fantasy V is one of the oft-forgotten entries in the numbered series due to the simple fact that it had never seen the light of day on North American shores until nearly a decade after its original release for the Super Famicom in Japan.
Thankfully, Final Fantasy V Advance is the most polished version of the title ever released, and while it's a worthwhile play, it stands as one of the weakest entries in the series.
Final Fantasy V tells the story of Butz (or Bartz, or whatever you want to call him; one thing is for sure, he has the worst name I've ever seen for a protagonist), a young adventurer who gets caught up in an epic battle to save his planet.

Final Fantasy X was soon deemed the most successful chapter in the series, from a creative standpoint, since Final Fantasy VII, and is solidly among most fans' Top 3 list among Final Fantasy titles.

Nintendo has unveiled a huge new list of titles currently in development at the 2005 DS Conference in Japan.
Highlights include a game which currently has the working title of Tingle RPG - yes, Zelda fans, the Wind Waker mascot is getting his very own adventure and it's due out next year.
As is New Super Mario Brothers, which seems to be the final name of the game since Nintendo is no longer listing "working title" next to it on press literature.

Final Fantasy III is the only early Final Fantasy game to not have been ported to another system as of my writing this, so it's obvious why this game is one of the most wanted cancelled Final Fantasy games.
Final Fantasy is not the easiest game, if not for the high encounter rate, your party will not be able to handle the difficulty of the later dungeons.

I haven read everything here but don't expect Final Fantasy 13 for another 2 or 3 years, you don't need any source's to know it wont be a launch game, just some common sence.
Final Fantasy is the best known RPG series in existence, you might not like it but I can assure you a lot of people will disagree
Oh and FF13 won't be a launch title, FF12 is just out in Japan (winter06/spring07 for US/Europe), they'll wait a year or so before FF13, and it doesn't look ready yet either.
