Jesse Ruderman » Coming soon to squarefree.com
This goal helped me write a bunch of Firefox extensions and one or two Firefox patches, but of course it didn't help me finish longer projects.
I think there’s already enough known low-priority Firefox security issues, and I can’t see much changing before 1.1, so I’m not sure making that list is so important.
A novel attack against something that was proven secure using a what I think is a poor definition of security.

Major Security Flaw Found in Greasemonkey - MozillaZine Talkback
TechWeb has an article about the Greasemonkey security bug that correctly identifies that "the Greasemonkey vulnerability isn't Firefox's fault" but notes that "it's the third public black eye for the popular browser in a matter of days", referring to the hacking of Spread Firefox and the broken extensions in Firefox 1.0.5.
Mark's message to the Greasemonkey mailing list about the security flaw explains that if a user has a script that is set to run on every page they visit (some versions of Greasemonkey have shipped with such scripts by default) then they are offering the entire contents of their computer to every site they access.
If a user running a vulnerable version of Greasemonkey visits a website that triggers at least one of their user scripts then that website can read any of the user's files or list the contents of any of the user's directories/folders.

And then there is Camino, a browser that combines the visual and behavioral experience of a Mac with the speedy Gecko core.
