You'll find specific information about the major geysers of Yellowstone park, a page explaining the differences between the different types of geysers, a list of refererences and links, safety with geysers, and more.
Lest you think that all geysers in North America are in Yellowstone National Park, here is a site on a geyser in the Napa Valley of California.
This site is devoted to geysers and has general information, a description of the physical processes producing geysers, photographs, and links to other geyser sites.

Geyser - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A geyser is a type of hot spring that erupts periodically, ejecting a column of hot water and steam into the air.
Geysers differ from noneruptive hot springs in their subterranean structure; many consist of a small vent at the surface connected to one or more narrow tubes that lead to underground reservoirs of water.
There are two types of geyser; Fountain geysers erupt from pools of water, typically in a series of intense, even violent, bursts; and cone geysers which erupt from cones or mounds of siliceous sinter (also known as geyserite), usually in steady jets that last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.

Geysers are quite rare, requiring a combination of geology and climate that exists in only a few places on Earth.
Geyser activity, like all hot spring activity, is caused by surface water gradually seeping down through the ground until it meets rock heated by magma, then rising back toward the surface by convection through porous and fractured rock.
Geysers differ from noneruptive hot springs in their subterranean structure: They generally consist of a small vent at the surface, connected to one or more narrow tubes that lead to large underground reservoirs of water.

Grand Geyser is one of tallest geysers in the world, and the tallest predictable one.
Grand Geyser is a fountain-type geyser, meaning it erupts with a broad fountain of spray rather than the focused hose-like spray of a cone-type geyser such as Riverside Geyser, Old Faithful Geyser or Castle Geyser.
Lion Geyser, in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park along the Geyser Hill boardwalk, was a lucky happenstance for me. Lion Geyser, part of the Lion Group which includes a few other geysers, is difficult to observe since it is not one of geysers that the Park rangers predict.

Castle Geyser is, after Old Faithful Geyser, perhaps the most-viewed of the large predictable geysers in Yellowstone National Park.
Castle Geyser’s eruption a lengthy water phase – 20 minutes is typical – followed by an additional 40 minutes or so of steam, so when it erupts a crowd has time to gather to admire its tall blow, up to 90′ high.
While Castle Geyser has a 12 foot sinter cone that took 5,000 to 15,000 years to form, it is in fact situated atop geyserite terraces that themselves may have taken 200,000 years to form, making it likely the oldest active geyser in the park.

Inactivity of geysers may be due to natural variations in the supply of fluid or the geyser's upflow channels.

Each year at Norris Geyser Basin, generally in August or September, a widespread hydrothermal "disturbance" occurs that is characterized by simultaneous changes in the discharge characteristics of many springs, particularly in the Back Basin.
During the summer season of 1995, water samples from eight widely distributed hot springs and geysers at Norris were collected each week and analyzed to determine whether chemical and isotopic changes also occurred in the thermal waters at the time of the disturbance.
