Already there are strong suspicions that other destinations, apart from the Western Region, that were listed on the document and approved by the Ministerial Committee did also not receive their consignment.

Ghanaian society is still plagued by epidemics, malnutrition, illiteracy, unemployment and a collapse of infrastructure.
Although Ghanaian authorities have pledged that citizens would enjoy the benefits of telecommunication facilities equally, in reality, my observation was that access to the telecommunication apparatus has largely favored only predominant sections of Ghanaian society, thereby stratifying citizens in their relationship to the telecommunication technology.
The concentration of ownership of communication centres in the hands of Ghana’s commercial class is not accidental considering that the capital requirement for setting communication centres is significantly beyond the means of a majority of Ghanaians.

Indigenous missions in West Africa are very important because this is the same region that witnessed much of the activity of Western missionary societies in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
